How It Works
Once you have made an enquiry I will arrange a no obligation, free of charge home visit at a time that is convenient for you. During the home visit I will meet you and your dog, discuss any requirements and answer any questions. I will provide insurance documents, references, and proof of an up to date police check for your inspection so you can be sure that your dog is safe with me.
As it is likely that you may be out when I walk or visit your best friend or undertake a security check, a house key will be signed over and a brief contract signed. The contract will outline the responsibilities of Alwoodley Professional Dog Walking Service, emergency procedures and agreed contact numbers etc. Please see Terms and Conditions for further information.
Booking a service...
Bookings can be made through the numbers provided on the Contact Me page and will typically be for a session period rather than a precise time. The morning group walk starts at about 10:30am and the afternoon at about 1:00pm. This is to allow for varying times as a result of traffic, inclement weather, picking up and dropping off dogs on group walks etc. without compromising the time you, the customer, are paying for and more importantly, so your best friend can get the most from their time.
The service operates under a block booking scheme whereby your dog will be walked on the same days each week. If extra walks are needed I can provide them providing there are vacant spots. All bookings should be made in advance to avoid disappointment.
Please see Prices page for our introductory discounts
The Walk...
I will pick up your best friend from your home in my 64 reg. air conitioned Citreon berlingo van. If you are requesting a group walk then I will also pick up their fellow canine companions en route to the park or woodland where the fun really begins. As you are booking for a set length of time I will ensure that your dog is walked for the full duration and not charge you for time spent collecting and returning. All efforts will be made to meet with the agreed booking whatever the weather.
All payments are to be made in cash or by cheque or bank transfer at the end of the working week.
